Hip Hop Producer Johnny J Dies While in Jail for DUI
Hip Hop record producer Johnny J, whose real name is Johnny Jackson, was found dead on October 3, 2008 while spending time in the Los Angeles County jail on a DUI charge. Johnny J died on October 3, 2008 at the age of 39, while serving a sentence for DWI in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility located in Los Angeles, California. He allegedly jumped off an upper tier of the prison in an apparent suicide. Jackson was the owner of Klock Work Entertainment and had worked with Candyman, Tupac and other hip hop artists.
