Underage DUI in California features a Zero Tolerance policy that results in some of the harshest punishments anywhere for anyone under 21 years of age caught driving under the influence. If a person under the age of 21 is caught driving with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of 0.01% or more, he or she can be charged with a DUI.
